Hello Emma,and all at “little soap”

Thankyou, your wonderful products arrived today.

we thought you might be interested in the following,as you are clearly,and absolutly understandably,very proud of your product and “what you do”
we first came across your soap whilst staying at the Ebrington Arms in late June.

2 weeks later our eldest daughter was crossing mongolia (!) on horseback to raise funds for “help for heroes” with some experienced riders from the “band of sisters” and some of the injured soldiers.she belongs to neither group,but believes passionatly in the charity and is an experienced endurance rider.
we gave her a packet of your travellers soap,in the vague hope she might actually wash during the 2 week trek,as they were “riding rough” to put it mildly!
they were doing 40 miles a day in 40+ degrees.
Sophie declared your soap as an absolute life-saver! it is perfect for washing body and hair in a cold mountain stream at the end of a hard,hard day.for our Sophie to say that,your soap must indeed be something very special!
you also now have some battle-hardened infantry soldiers as fans!
so your soap has been used to wash with,in many mongolian rivers!
also very good in a warm english bathroom,so we thought we’d get a few packets in for the winter.

great soap,you deserve to do very,very well.

Check Your Plums For Stones Lads? The Pershore Plum Festival Raises Awareness For Testicular Cancer

This year’s Pershore Plum Festival has joined forces with testicular cancer charity Orchid with help from cancer survivor Matt ‘Onenut’ Wakefield, to raise awareness of the disease and how to detect it.

An average of 2000 men are diagnosed every year but numbers are on the increase. All that’s needed is a simple check to catch the disease early but many men don’t know what to look for.

Pershore Plum Festival will be working with the charity throughout August and people will be encouraged to sponsor a plum tree for loved ones who have either survived or sadly died from testicular and other cancers.  These trees will then be planted in a special living memory orchard later in the year by the Vale Heritage Landscape Trust.

Commenting on the decision to join forces with the charity, Pershore Plum Festival organiser, Angela Tidmarsh, said:

“Having recently won an award as the top Festival in the region attracting thousands of visitors each year, we wanted to use the event to do something really worthwhile.

Somehow the link with plums and testicular cancer seemed a good one. Using humour to get a message across is one of the best ways to ensure people remember it and I know that having Matt working with us – especially with him sitting in a bath of purple balls will really stay in peoples’ memories”.

Pershore Plum Festival Highlights

29th July – Official launch & Gala Dinner including crowning of the Plum Princess.

30th July – Grand Festival Opening in Pershore’s Plum Alley to be filmed by the BBC for Songs Of Praise (we’ll be there… lathering the vicar up!!!)

5th August – Pershore Plum Festival Race Day at Worcester Racecourse. Go along in purple for a family day of racing and join Prunella Plum, the Plum Princess and Queen Victoria.

27th – 29th August – Pershore Plum Fayre Day and Farmer’s Market Pershore goes plum crazy with a host of events and entertainment including every shop turning their windows purple. Also the largest display of classic and vintage cars in the West Midlands

Plum Alley will be open every Saturday throughout August selling everything plummy (soaps soaps soaps) – from the fruit in its original state through to sausages and soap. The bells of Pershore Abbey will also ring out a peal to welcome visitors to the town every weekend in August.
